With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with platinum hour markers in 1948 and its subsequent sale on 12 November 1948.

Reference 600 was launched in 1933 and was one of Patek Philippe's most popular dress watches ever produced. Also called "white tie" or "smoking" watch, its timeless, modernist design enjoys still today great popularity amongst collectors.

The model was available with different calibres, the platinum version however generally fitted with the ultra flat cal. 17'''140.
