FIVE BRONZE MIRRORS, WARRING STATES AND LATER (475-221BC)
comprising a small mirror, decorated in relief to the reverse side with interlocking scrolls, the small loop knop surrounded by a squared centre section; the second mirror decorated with bands of raised concentric circles with curvilinear flourishes separated by four studs, narrow straight bands to either side; the third mirror with high and wide central knop, decorated in high relief with dragons flanking a bird motif, the higher rim with raised triangular motifs; the fourth decorated in relief with seated figures and dragons bordered by a band of character squares and half moon motifs, the rim with thin lines of scrolling decoration; the fifth mirror of square form the corners cut away, decorated in relief to the centre with flowering and leafing motifs with four characters, all within a beaded circular frame -- The first, 2¾in. (7.2cm.) diam. (5)
