A PAIR OF POTTERY BUDDHISTIC LION HEADS, EARLY 15TH CENTURY
each glazed in green and yellow, one with an handwritten note reading: 'Brick ornament taken off the Porcelain Tower at Nankin, 1842', both mounted on a velvet covered wood stand; an unglazed pottery figure of a lady wearing long robes, Tang Dynasty (618-907); five unglazed miniature pottery figures of attendants, Tang Dynasty (618-907) -- the highest, 9in. (23cm.) high; and a grey pottery Li tripod vessel, possibly Shang Dynasty (1600-1100BC). (9)
