A CELADON AND RUSSET JADE PENDANT, 18TH CENTURY
carved and pierced with a Shuangxi (Double Happiness) character below three ruyi-head motifs, an elegant deer is carved in high relief to the celadon and russet surface, the reverse side of the character in plain celadon jade -- 2 7/8in. (7.2cm.) high.
Provenance
From an English private collection acquired in China during the 1940's.
