A WHITE GLAZED VASE, KANGXI (1662-1722)
with squat pear shaped body and raised on a high rounded foot, decorated in low relief to the surface with alternating stylised Shou characters and X-formed motifs, the shoulders with an apron of hanging beads on scrolling designs, Yu ci chun yi tang 'Given by the Emperor to the Hall of Simple Purity' underglaze blue five-character mark to base within a double square -- 6½in. (16.5cm.) high.
