The beaker tapering and engraved with ribbon tied husk swags, the flatware each stamped with husks and shells, comprising: a table-spoon; a teaspoon; a table-fork; a knife with silver-gilt blade; a knife with steel blade, each engraved with initial M below a Royal crown, contained in silk lined fitted leather covered case, marked on each piece, the steel knife blade further stamped 'J.C KLINKOSCH WIEN', the case labelled 'J.C. KLINKSOCH K.UND K.HOF & KAMMER LIEFERANT WIEN'

The initial is that of Princess Marina of Greece and Denmark, later The Duchess of Kent (1906-1968).
The inscription reads 'from Great Aunt Thyra 1907' (6)

Princess Marina of Greece and Denmark's christening present from her great-aunt, Princess Thyra of Denmark, Duchess of Cumberland (1853-1933), sister of Queen Alexandra (1844-1925). She became Duchess of Cumberland, Princess of Hanover, Brunswick and Luneberg in 1878 on her marriage to Prince Ernst-Augustus, Crown Prince of Hanover (1845-1923), in 1878.
