TWO OSTRICH FEATHER COURT FANS
20TH CENTURY
Of white ostrich feather, mounted on mother-of-pearl sticks, the guard sticks with applied gold monogram 'M', different on each one, each with princess' coronet above, in cream padded box by The Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company Ltd, with gold plate to the front, stamped 'M' with Royal crown above dated 1911
The initial on the box is for Queen Mary (1867-1953), mother of The Prince George, Duke of Kent (1902-1942).

The initial on the first fan is for Princess Mary, The Princess Royal, Countess of Harewood (1897-1965), sister of The Prince George, Duke of Kent (1902-1942).

The initial on the second fan is for Princess Marina, Duchess of Kent (1906-1968). (2)
