Compressed hemispherical and on stepped spreading foot, with moulded borders and slightly exerted rim, engraved with a coat-of-arms, within baroque cartouche marked underneath

The arms are those of Butler, probably for the Butler family of Kirkland Hall, co. Lancaster.
