MARK OF GOLDSMITHS AND SILVERSMITHS COMPANY, LONDON, 1934
The oblong base applied at the angles with four tow holders with bud finials and in the centre with a dragon passant, his detachable head forming the wick holder, the base engraved with regimental badge and inscription, marked on base, tow holders and covers, the head unmarked, fitted case

The badge is that of "The Buffs", The Royal East Kent Regiment.

The inscription reads 'H.R.H. THE DUKE OF KENT FROM THE BUFFS 29TH NOVEMBER 1934'.
