MARK OF DEAKIN AND FRANCIS, BIRMINGHAM, 1935
The blade engraved with an inscription within foliage borders, with a turned ebony handle, marked on back, in fitted case
11½ in. (29.2 cm.) long
The inscription reads 'Presented to His Royal Highness, The Duke of Kent on the occasion of his laying the Foundation Stone of the Broadcast Hall at Trinity College Carmarthen 19th October 1937'
Provenance
Presented to The Prince George, Duke of Kent (1902-1942) on the occasion of his visit to Cardiff in October 1937.
