A SILVER-PLATED SALVER
CIRCA 1934
Shaped circular and with gadrooned border, the centre engraved with an initial 'G' within the Garter motto and below a Royal duke's coronet, surrounded by an engraved inscription, in wood case
18½ in. (46.5 cm.) diam.
The inscription reads 'To H.R.H. Prince George 29 November 1934 from Dr. and Mrs. O' Conor Donelan.'
Provenance
Presented to The Prince George, Duke of Kent (1902-1942) by Dr. J. and Mrs O'Conor Donelan. Dr. O'Conor Donelan was the son of Thomas O'Conor Donelan J.P., of Sylanmore, co. Galway.
