SCHOOL OF HEINRICH FRIEDRICH FÜGER, CIRCA 1785/90
A young gentleman, in white coat with gilt-embroidered border, fine French lace cravat, black stock, powdered hair en queue, wearing the red and white sash and breast-star of the Austrian Military Order of Maria Theresa and a portrait insignia of the Emperor in diamond frame
on ivory
oval, 2¾ in. (70 mm.) high, gilt-metal mount within ebonised wood frame
