Oblong, the corners applied with foliage and flower bracket, with detachable cresting, chased with band of foliage and shells and with shaped rim with two putto supporting a shield, later engraved with coat-of-arms beneath earl's coronet and with crest beneath earl's coronet, marked on base and on crest, with wood easel back

The arms are those of Cecil as borne by the Earls of Exeter.
