BRITISH, CIRCA 1690
Silver and enamel oval slide mounted with a miniature of King William III (1650-1702) and Queen Mary II (1662-1694), he in plate armour, lace cravat, curling brown periwig, wearing the blue moiré sash of the Order of the Garter; she in lace-bordered red mantua with a jewel at corsage, long curling brown hair, the reverse of the silver bezel enamelled with black floral pellets on opaque turquoise blue ground
on vellum
