The rectangular hinged top opening to a divided interior with two lids, carved overall with relief panels of blossom motifs and strapwork, inscribed in black paint 'G-32' and with a paper label inscribed 'N/18-5'
4¾ in. (12 cm.) high, 8 in. (20.5 cm.) wide, 4¼ in. (11 cm.) deep

An almost identical tea caddy, possibly even from the same workshop, was in the collection of Mr. Basil and the Hon. Mrs. Ionides, Buxted Park, Sussex, and is illustrated in Chinese Export Art in the Eighteenth Century, M. Jourdain and R. S. Jenyns, London, 1950, p. 133.
