While the field of the present lot is a nearly three-dimensional display of palmettes, cloud bands, rosettes and undulating vinery, the major border balances this movement with its linear bracket-leaf and palmette format. The entire composition of the carpet is very similar to that of lots 31 and 129 suggesting that they are from the same workshop. The inner guard border of reciprocal S-cloud bands is also seen on lot 203.
