And a petit-point wool panel decorated with the arms of Swinton of Swinton, County Berwick, 19th century (2)

Lot Essay

The full heraldry on the painted panel is for Blount quartering Sodington impaling Riddell, for Sir Walter Blount, 7th Bt (1768-1803) and his wife Anne (d.1823), youngest daughter of Thomas Riddell, of Felton Park and Swinburne Castle, Northumberland, whom he married in 1792.
