Compare with similar comb-like texturing to the flower petals on two dishes dated to the Song dynasty from the same collection: the first, a lotus scroll dish sold at Christie's Hong Kong, Important Chinese Lacquer from the Lee Family Collection, 3 December 2008, lot 2108; and the other also from the Lee family collection, with tea-rose scrolls, included in the present sale, lot 1806.
