This lot is offered without reserve. Hank Snow first heard Jimmie Rodgers on the radio when he was a young teenager. At that early age he knew he wanted not only to match the talents of the Father of Country Music but also surpass his success. Starting all the way in Canada, Hank Snow was one of the few country artists to continue the train-song tradition established by Jimmie Rodgers. With a long and prosperous career Hank Snow was probably best known for his rich, easy and articulate voice, his skillful mastery of the guitar and of course, his bespoke Nudie suits. Between 1949 and 1980 Hank Snow saw no fewer than eighty-five of his singles reach the Billboard charts.
