Theatricality is conveyed in Heri Dono's Contemporary theatre through the depiction of the street theatre performance. In the artist's installation and video works, one always perceives such a tendency. Through his works, Heri Dono deliberately tries to detach art and artistic expressions from the institutional constellation of the art infrastructure. He believes that contemporary art is a part of contemporary culture. For Heri Dono, art is about the artist's sensitivity, which is inseparable from matters of sense and morality.
