A MEISSEN HOT-MILK JUG AND COVER painted in puce camaieu with gallants and companions after Watteau, in landscape vignettes, one couple toasting each other and with Holzschnitt Blumen beneath the gilt satyr's mask spout, the wishbone handle with shell thumbpiece and enriched in gilding, the cover similarly decorated and with gilt bud finial (slight flaking to gilding of spout and to rim of cover), blue crossed swords mark and gilder's H. to both pieces, circa 1745
