AN ATTIC RED-FIGURED STEMLESS CUP
CLOSE TO THE MELEAGER PAINTER, CIRCA 380 B.C.
Each side with three nude youths, one side with two youths wearing mantles over their shoulders, the other side with the central figure wearing a mantle over his shoulder, each with a fillet in added white, triple palmettes below the handles; the interior with an encircling band of ivy below the rim, the leaves reserved with vines and berries in added white, the tondo with stamped linked palmettes framed by ovolo, the underside with concentric circles in black
