CIRCA 2ND CENTURY A.D.
In the form of a satyr emerging from acanthus, with a projection behind, wearing an animal pelt, its hoof knotted at his left shoulder, his head twisted to the right and held back, his wild locks upswept at the center, obscuring the tips of his pointed ears but revealing his small horns, his face with a knitted brow, and a deep horizontal crease across the forehead, his fleshy lips parted revealing his upper row of teeth, wisps of hair along his jawline, his right arm bent and raised up toward his face with his index finger extended
