CIRCA LATE 2ND-EARLY 3RD CENTURY A.D.
From the crossbar of a Niederbieber-type helmet, in the form of an eagle protome, with a downturned beak, bulging eyes and heavy brow, the feathers and wings finely incised on both sides, the front edge forked and undulating, with two incised dolphins along the edge, tapering to the riveted flange
