A CARTHAGINIAN GLASS HEAD PENDANT
CIRCA 5TH-4TH CENTURY B.C.
Rod-formed of opaque yellow glass, with dark blue rings for the eyes, an applied spiral-twisted blue, yellow and white headband, a dark blue spiral ringlet of hair on either side, the perforated ears in applied yellow below, dark blue for the hair at the back, surmounted by a thick ridged dark blue suspension loop
7/8 in. (2.2 cm.) high
