A Porcelain Cup And Saucer
by the Gardner Factory, Moscow, circa 1780
Of tapering cylindrical form, on conforming foot, the body decorated with two cartouches, one depicting a multi-coloured biblical scene of the arrest of a preacher, the second cartouche with a gilt ciselé design, with scroll handle, the circular saucer similarly decorated, marked under bases with dark blue underglaze, and on the saucer with Cyrillic signature 'GARDNER'
