by the Gardner Porcelain Factory, Moscow, circa 1810
Circular, the centre painted with a multi-coloured miniature with storm clouds in the upper foreground and depicting a view of Gostinii Dvor (Merchant's Yard) with its arched balconies on St Petersburg's Nevskii Prospect, and of the building of the Government Council and the dome of St Isaac's Cathedral in the background, with various figures walking down Nevskii Prospect, the gilt body of the plate with a continuous ciselé garland design border flanked by very thin white bands, marked under base with dark blue underglaze with dot and impressed Cyrillic signature 'GARDNER'
