A Porcelain Jam Dish from the Gatchina Palace
by the Imperial Porcelain Factory, St Petersburg, circa 1830
Circular, with slightly undulating rim, the white ground body with a protruding flat handle at one end on which is painted the Imperial double-headed eagle with crown and attributes of power, with moulded leaf terminals, gilt rim and details, marked under base with dark blue underglaze Cyrillic monogram 'N I' beneath the Imperial Russian crown
