General Fedor Petrovich Uvarov (1769-1824), was a favourite of Emperor Paul I, who awarded him in 1799 the order of St Anne, first class. However he took part in the conspiracy to remove the Emperor from the throne in 1801. General Uvarov saw active service in the Patriotic Wars under Kutuzov and Platov, was an intimate friend of Alexander I, and was awarded the order of St. George at Austerlitz.
