The badge marked with the Cyrillic initials KS, St Petersburg, 1856, the star marked with the Cyrillic initials PA, no town or date marks
Designed as the black enamel Imperial Russian eagle applied with the Saint Andrew cross with the Saint crucified upon it, surmounted by a red guilloché and enamel Imperial crown, marked on loop; the Star with central enamelled double-headed eagle surrounded by the motto in Russian, 'For Faith and Loyalty' on blue enamel ground, within a circular border and silver sunburst, marked on reverse; with the original pale blue moiré silk sash, sold together with a note with inscription in Russian, Andrew Star having belonged to V.K. Konstantin N.
