Lot Essay

This work was painted near Audois in the south-west of France where the artist worked for a few months in 1885. It will be included in the forthcoming catalogue raisonné of Ivan Pokhitonov currently being prepared by Olivier Bertrand as 'Chasseur et chien dans un paysage'.
