MARIE-THÉRÈSE DE NOIRETERRE, circa 1780/1785

A young man against a landscape background, wearing a high-piled grey-powdered short curly wig, a large open white shirt with pleated muslin jabot and a green and red checked silk waistcoat -- 65 mm diam., gold frame, the glazed reverse painted in brown camaïeu with a landscape and a dog surrounding a pierced oval reserve containing a hair lock surmounted by a putto holding a floral swag.
