Lot Essay

Pierre, Baron Thouvenot (Toul 1757-1817) commanded the Belgian Artillery in 1792 and became chef d'état-major of the Dutch Army in 1793. In 1801, he was chef de brigade in Saint-Domingo and served subsequently in Germany and in Spain. He retired in 1815.
