Grand-Duchess Catharina Pavlovna of Russia waist-length, her head slightly to sinister, wearing a frill-bordered white dress with puff-sleeves tied with sky-blue bows, her curly brown hair adorned with a posy of flowers and a hat fastenend under her chin with a sky-blue bow; watercolour on paper, oval -- 137 mm high, fine silver-gilt frame with openwork set with pearls and strass stones.
