The Artist's Wife Pauline née du Cruet de Barailhon (1781-1865) and her sister Anne du Cruet de Barailhon, Madame Auguste-Henri de Bouhebent (1783-1866), both bust-length slightly to dexter, with curly hair, wearing white chemises with low-cut bodices; both white chalk, gouache and watercolour on brown paper, oval -- 160 and 163 mm high resp., Pauline Augustin with a glazed drawing of an officer on the reverse, both in gilt-metal frames with half-pearl borders.
