The walnut case with an arched hood the crest with date 1780, moulded trunkdoor and panelled plinth base, engraved brass dial with silvered moonphase to the arch, silvered subsidiaries to the upper corners for strike/not strike and Rigadoon/A Minuet, Roman and Arabic dial signed Anthony Charles London, silvered seconds ring and date aperture to the centre, three train four pillar movement, anchor escapement, strike on bell and 5.5 cm. long pinned brass barrel playing with sixteen hammers on eight bells; pendulum, three brass weights, door key, crank key
