with nickel finished jewelled lever movement, bi-metallic balance, 18 carat gold cuvette, the matt silvered dial with Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds, in plain case with white enamel initials to the reverse, with a length of 18 carat and pearl-set chain and presentation box, unsigned - 44 mm diam.

Lot Essay

The white enamel initials on the back of the case are allegedly those of Gustav VI, Adolf King of Sweden,. The engraving on the cuvette says "From L. Nov 3rd. 1923". This is said to be a wedding present from Queen Louise of Sweden (Princess of Battenberg).
