Each with a rectangular plate within a foliate-decorated surround interspersed with oval medallions depicting putti, with floral rosettes to the corners, surmounted by a shaped pierced cresting centred by a conformingly engraved further panel, restorations and replacements, the crestings apparently rebacked, minor losses to glass

G. Morazzoni illustrates a closely related mirror in the Museo Vetrario, Murano (Il Mobile Veneziano del '700, Vol. II, Milan, 1958, Pl. CCXXVIII). Among the related examples sold at auction, a pair of etched and cobalt glass mirrors was sold from the Property of the Fifth Earl of Rosebery's Trust Settlement, Sotheby's London, 14 June 1991, lot 22, while a further related mirror featuring virtually identical cresting and putti-decorated medallions, was sold anonymously at Christie's, London, 12 December 1985, lot 123.
