Lot Essay

An identical table was in the library of Jayne & Charles B. Wrightsman's Palm Beach house, a well-documented Jansen commission, illustrated in J.A. Abbott, Jansen, New York 2006, p. 168.
A related table by Boudin of Maison Jansen for another well-documented Jansen commission was sold at Christie's A View over Eaton Square sale, 10 November 2005, lot 346, for £20,400.
