A FINE COPY OF THE FIRST EDITION of the first concerted effort to describe the mountains of Switzerland. This work comprises three parts: the first two include a detailed description of the Swiss Alps based on earlier authorities, and contemporary information received by Gruner from his numerous correspondants.
