MORYSON, Fynes (1565-1630). An Itinerary written by Fynes Moryson first in the Latin tongue and then translated by him into English: Containing his ten yeeres travell through the twelve dominions of Germany, Bohmerland, Sweitzerland, Netherland, Denmarke, Poland, Italy, Turky, France, England, Scotland, and Ireland. FIRST EDITION. Moryson spent from 1591 to 1597 travelling through Europe and the Levant, and earned the reputation of being "a sober-minded and veracious traveller." The Latin version of his Itinerary was never published. Brunet III:1919; Lowndes p. 1621; Pine-Coffin 5931; STC 18205.
