Contemporary boards, uncut (rebacked with morocco). Provenance: Sir Willoughby Gordon (1772-1851), army officer and a commander of the Royal African Corps from 1808-1812 (presentation inscription from the author).

FIRST EDITION, PRESENTATION COPY inscribed on the title to: "Lt. Genl. Sir Willoughby Gordon, K.C.B., from his obliged & faithful servant, Dixon Denham."
