FIRST EDITION, recording Stevenson's observations of Peru, Ecuador, and Chile before and during their quest for independence from Spain. A British subject, Stevenson joined the revolutionists at Quito and was imprisoned by the Spanish at Concepcion, Callao, and Lima. Sabin 91611. (3)
