With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1999 and its subsequent sale on November 27th of the same year. Further accompanied by a Patek Philippe Certificate of Origin dated February 2, 1999, leather battery operated winding presentation box, leather envelope, instructions pamphlet and outer packaging.

To the best of our knowledge the present watch has never before been offered in public.

The reference 5041 sits as the rarest of all perpetual calendar watches of Patek Philippe's modern production. Manufactured from 1995 to 2003, this model appears identical to the reference 5040 except for its enlarged, flat bezel. The 5041 was exclusively made in white gold with a black dial and Breguet numerals. Although the exact production numbers are not known, it is thought that a total of only 30 to 50 examples were made.
