The Heliozentric World Display timepiece has a unique gear allowing for the representation of the elliptical orbit of the earth around the sun. The blue earth travels around the sun in a year indicating each month. This is a fascinating complication due to the mathematics and physics necessary to create the curve of the ellipse with in the movement.
