With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming the production of the present watch in 1920 and its subsequent sale on May 30th, 1936.

To the best of our knowledge the present watch has never before been offered in public.

Patek Philippe's reference 96 also known as the Calatrava is the epitome of the classic gentleman's timepiece. The watch was produced from 1932 until approximately 1973. The present watch belongs to the first series produced between 1932 and 1936 with a 12 caliber LeCoultre base. The second series contained a modified 12-120 caliber movement produced from 1935 until 1950, while the third series used the 27SC caliber.
