With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1965 and its subsequent sale on October 13th of the same year.

Patek Philippe produced the reference 3404 from 1958 until approximately 1975. The firm introduced the platinum model in 1961. The present watch is one of only four known to the market in platinum.
