Anna Pottery was founded by brothers Cornwall and Wallace Kirkpatrick in 1859. Operating in Union County, Illinois until 1896, the shop primarily focused on the production of utilitarian wares, but became especially renowned for whimsical forms of figures and animals made from clay. Shapes such as this flask were exhibited widely during the 19th century.
