TWO GERMAN ENGRAVED GLASS GOBLETS AND A FLUTE
18th century, probably Silesian
One goblet with flaring cylindrical bowl engraved on both sides with Cupid within a cartouche, the two joined by strap-work, on vari-baluster twisted stem enclosing gold-flecked red twisted threads, the spreading circular foot engraved with strapwork; the other on each side with a potto in a field reserved within a Baroque cartouche issuing foliate scrolls; the flute with a trailing flowering vine above a crowned cartouche enclosing an AR monogram, the hollow integral stem with white opaque twists enclosing a gauze core, the speading circular foot engraved with trailing vine
8 1/8 in. (20.6 cm.), 7½ in. (19 cm.) and 7 1/8 in. (18 cm.) high respectively (3)
