A Silver Figure of Tara
Tibet, circa 18th century
Seated in lalitasana on a double-lotus base with beaded rims, the hands in varada- and vitarkamudras, clad in a long flowing dhoti with hems incised with a floral pattern, the face centered by a raised urna, with an inscription at back, the base sealed with a double-vajra, together with a silver and glass case

Lot Essay

The inscription reads sgrol ljang la na mo or drol jang lanamo, which translates to "Homage to Green Tara!"
